

Gunmen have killed Mohammed Adamu the Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Adamu was killed on Wednesday evening by yet -to-be identified gunmen.
The state chairman of the group Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, who confirmed the incident to newsmen condemned the the incident in its entirety and called on security agencies to investigate and arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
9News Nigeria gathered that the incident occurred at the deceased’s residence soon after broke of fast.
“This is an unfortunate situation, we call on security agencies to investigate and fish out those behind the heinous act so that they will face the full wrath of the law”, he said.
Also speaking on the incident, a youth leader in the community, Alhaji Danjuma Ibrahim, who also confirm the attack, said the body of the deceased had been deposited at the Barkin Ladi General Hospital and expected to be buried today (Thursday).
Danjuma while condemning the incident, recalled that this was the third time the chairman had been targeted by gunmen, but they were unsuccessful until this latest attack.
According to him, “The gunmen attacked him and shot him multiple times. There are bullet wounds on his body. After they shot him, they fled the area.
“Security personnel, including the police and soldiers, have responded because we were with them at the hospital when he was rushed there”.
The Youth leader described the attack on the MACBAN chairman as unfortunate, explaining that before his death, “he played a vital role in ensuring peace within the Barkin Ladi area”.
His demise will continue to linger in our memory because of his significance in sustaining peace in the community”, he said.
However, Spokesman of the State Police Command DSP Alfred Alabo when contacted said “he is not aware of the of the incident because we have our channel of communication, so honestly, I’m not aware yet”
