Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has fired back at his Manchester United counterpart, Jose Mourinho, calling him “a little man” with a “low profile”, as the two coaches continue their war of words.
Mourinho had brought up the match-fixing scandal Conte was involved in during his spell in Italy , after United’s 2-0 win over Derby County on Friday.
Speaking after Chelsea drew 0-0 at Norwich in their own FA Cup third round fixture on Saturday, Conte said: “You have to know the truth. It’s true I was banned for four months for failure to report. Then I asked for a real trial and they cleared me. Before you make this type of comment you must pay great attention, because you show yourself a little man
“This is not my problem. I consider him a little man, a man with very low profile.
“I remember for example with Ranieri. He offended Ranieri for his English. Then when Ranieri was sacked [by Leicester] he put a shirt with his name on. This shows you are a fake.”
Conte also said there will be an opportunity for “answers” at Old Trafford when he and Mourinho meet face to face.
“I am ready. I don’t think he is ready,” the Italian added.
