Nigeria’s top 50 brands were recently unveiled in Lagos at the 2016 edition of the Brand Nigeria Forum, a gathering of captains of industries, policy makers, decision makers and representatives of top corporate brands in Nigeria, where  MTN, Coca Cola and GTBank came tops.
Chief Executive Officer, Top 50 Brands Nigeria, Taiwo Oluboyede, who spoke on the project, said the purpose of the forum was to create a quality engagement public discuss platform, particularly among the productive class, where it deliberates on feasible ways of enhancing the value of the Brand Nigeria.
“Knowing the strength or weakness of your brand can also help in refocusing your strategies and approach to the market as well as in resource allocations for higher value. Brand strength measurement become handy in brand management, budget allocations and measuring the outcomes,” he said.
Commenting on the brands that got enlisted among the top 50 brands, he said, “these are the brands that have shown tremendous leadership in their categories.
They are innovative and they have quality. They transcended their products or services categories to become part of the popular culture. They are iconic; they have set themselves apart from others to inspire enduring affection among the consumers. These have earned them loyal followership and brand equity.”
Meanwhile, MTN Nigeria has announced the launch of the MTN Yafun Yafun Promo.
General Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria, Richard Iweanoge, said the promo is an SMS subscription-based service that allows MTN’s existing and potential customers earn points for every recharge they make on the network, adding that participants stand the chance of walking away with N20 million, N2 million, Toyota Prado SUV, Mercedes ML, generators, smartphones, flat screen TVs and lots more.
He said the promo was conceived to make this year’s Yuletide season a memorable one for MTN customers.
“MTN as a brand always has the interest of its teeming customers at heart. With that in mind, we decided to come up with the MTN Yafun Yafun Recharge and Win promo to end the year on a high note of celebrations through their winnings. We appreciate them for their support and this promo is our way of saying thank you to them,” he said.
