MTN launches mega billion promo to reward loyal customers

MTN Nigeria on Saturday night announced the launch of its Mega Billion Promo, an initiative, it said, was aimed at rewarding the loyalty of its customers.

Speaking at the MTN Mega Billion Promo media parley in Lagos, the Chief Marketing Officer, MTN, Mrs Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, said that the promo aimed at cushioning the effects of the economic downturn and tariff adjustment.

Ikenna-Emeka said that it would  produce about 195 millionaires and over 5000 winners to show its commitment to reward its loyal customers.

She said that MTN was committed to making its customers’ lives brighter.

According to her, MTN has consistently in its operations, engagements and the way it  exhibits its operations within the communities it serves, tried to ensure it achieve this grand mission.

“That excitement is an opportunity for us to, first of all, reward our loyal customers who have remained committed to MTN in spite of all the challenges that exist.

“Customers who have stayed with us through thick and thin as we have navigated the challenges of trying to stay operational and  profitable in this market.

“So, in total, we have given out promos of over N290 million and still counting,’’ Ikenna-Emeka said.

Also speaking at the event, Senior Manager, Consumer Segment (Mass Marketing), MTN, Mr Debo Agun, said that new cash reward promo, offered daily and weekly prizes through a straightforward participation process.

Agun said that participation in the promo was free for subscribers.

According to Agun, the promotion features daily draws from Monday to Friday, with 63 winners selected each day.

“Prizes range from N5,000 to N5 million and will be credited directly to the winners’ mobile money accounts. Subscribers are advised to open a mobile money account.

“Saturdays will feature enhanced rewards, with 104 winners to be selected.

“The Saturday prize pool includes a top prize of N10 million, along with other cash prizes of N25,000, N50,000, N75,000, N100,000, N500,000, N1 million, and N2 million.

According to him, eligibility for the draws is tied to airtime recharge, for every N100 recharge or multiples thereof, subscribers will receive an entry into the daily and Saturday draws.

Chief Customer Relations and Experience Officer, Ugonwa Nwoye, reiterated MTN’s commitment to its customers, emphasising that its services went beyond providing network connectivity.

Nwoye said that efforts were continuously being made to offer good network, services, and overall quality to subscribers across Nigeria.

She highlighted the importance of creating meaningful experiences for customers, noting that the reward programme was designed to achieve this.

“The programme is structured to allow customers participate without altering their regular routine of recharging their mobile lines,’’ Nwoye added.

She noted that the reward programme was intended to acknowledge customer loyalty and demonstrate that their phone numbers could be a gateway to significant opportunities.

Nwoye urged subscribers to spread awareness about the programme.

The representative expressed hope that more subscribers would have the opportunity to become winners.

9news Nigeria reports that the highlight of the event will be the live draw and call from 300 to the millionaire winners.
