FCT, ABUJA (9News Nigeria) – Amalgamated APC support group celebrate presidential election victory as they mark joint Christians-Muslims Iftar evening, 9News Nigeria Abuja reports.

The Amalgamated APC Support Groups’ Iftar evening took place as scheduled on the evening of Tuesday, 18th April 2023 at the NTA Arena, Area 11, FCT.

The event which kicked off at exactly 6:30 pm had in attendance the Director-General of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups, Dr Nasir Mohammed Ladan, the Administrative Secretary, Hon. Haruna Alfa and a host lot of leaders of different Support Groups forming the Amalgamated APC Support Groups.

Leaders of Support Groups duly registered with the Amalgamated APC Support Groups from all over the Federation in their hundreds were in attendance.

In his address, the Director-General requested the house to observe a minute silence for the departed colleague and co-worker, the Iyaloja of the FCT, Mrs Oluwatoyin Badmus, who worked assiduously with others for the emergence of the President-elect and the Vice President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima at the just concluded 2023 General elections.

He also called for prayers for the departed soul of aljanah firdaus.

The DG later informed all leaders to be expectant as no one would be left unrewarded for their labour of love for our Principals. He assured all that since the only Amalgamated APC Support Groups recognised by the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and its Chairman is the one in which he is the DG, then all shall be carried along as events unfold.

More than enough food and drinks were available for the Moslems and their Christian counterparts to break the fast, wine and dine together with one another.

The event was covered by the Nigerian Television Authority, the 9News Nigeria, Nigerian Tribune, Leadership and Daily Trust etc.

The Iftar came to an end with closing prayers by Hon. Haruna Alfa, the Administrative Secretary and Hon. Femi Showunmi, the National Director of ICT of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups at 8:00 pm.
