Modupe Ayangbenro, a student of Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun state made it known that her Dad sold his bus for paying her school fees
In an interview with 9newsNigeria reporter, she said ” i dont expect to be the overall best ND graduating student in FPI thou I prayed for it.
She said “I feel like I am dreaming, I am surprise and really grateful to God because to me, it look like a miracle and a prayer coming through”.
This is because I am always longing to receive awards and make my parent proud.
According to her, “my challenges in school was financial support and oppression coming from an average home. I don’t collect much for pocket money. Like in my first year, my parents do send me 5000 naira as food money and others expenses for the whole month which was not even enough for a week not to talk of a month.
Modupe made it known that mass communication department is full of practical which requires money and which she will remove 3000 Naira for her feeding, and have to manage 2000 naira until she get another pocket money next month.
She stated that, my course mate and their oppressions was another thing, I am always baffled how they get to buy new clothes, shoes, bags, flying drinks and food up and down in the class while I have to survive with my 5000 naira but she converted the challenges to her academic, since she can’t oppress financially, and she should be able to oppress academically.
Modupe Ayangbenro advised her fellow colleagues behind her that they should keep pushing forward. Never give up
