These students will represent the Federal University of Technology Owerri, in extension, Imo state and Nigeria at the Hult Prize 2023 Nairobi Summit taking place on June 1-4, 2023 at the Strathmore Business School.

Ahead of global business Competition holding on June 1st down to 4th, 2023 at Nairobi, Kenya, Students from Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) requesting for financial assistance from good spirited individuals in Nigeria to assist them to participate in this competition which they have qualified to attend having applied for it.

9News Nigeria correspodent gathered that these students are keeen to join their colleagues in Kenya to stand in for the contest to make Imo and Nigeria proud but was cash trapped and therefore pleading for assistance from both individuals, government officials and cooperate organizations to help out.

“Boluscrafts is a team of five (5) students born with a strong passion for solving environmental issues. Their ideas were channelled toward using fabric waste to make unique designs on writing materials”

Due to their passion, they applied for the Hult Prize competition this year
with the theme: “Redesigning Fashion”. Out of 200,000 individuals that applied globally, only 700 qualified of which they are among those selected for the semi-finals.

The students will represent the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in extension, Imo state and Nigeria at the Hult Prize 2023 Nairobi Summit taking place on June 1-4, 2023 at the Strathmore Business School.

Participating in this competition requires them to take care of their expenses
which includes : transportation, feeding, visa, and accommodation. After all necessary calculations, the travel expense summed up to approximately Four
Million, One Hundred and Sixty-two Thousand Naira (#4,162,000).

They are therefore using this medium to humbly appeal for assistance/sponsorship in making this a success, to possibly break another world record.
