The Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Nasarawa State, Mr Adamu Bako has emerged the new chairman of the party.
A total of 1,414 delegates were accredited for this year’s elective congress held at the party’s Secretariat in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Bako polled 1,403 votes to defeat his main challenger, Barrister John Matthew who garnered 07 votes with four (4) votes recorded as invalid.
The embattled opposition party had prior to the elective congress zoned the chairmanship position to Akwanga axis of Nasarawa North district.
