A season woman mobilizer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mrs Hannatu John has expressed her appreciation to Mr Luka Zhekaba, the Minority Leader of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) for facilitating her emergence as consensus candidate for the state’s women leadership position zoned to Obi Local Government Area of the State.

She pledged her unwavering loyalty to Zhekaba who represents Obi 11 Constituency in the State Assembly.

Meanwhile, this year’s Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been halted by a Nasarawa State High Court sitting in Doma following an ex parte motion filed by sixteen members of the embattled opposition party.

The presiding Judge, Justice Abdullahi Hassan Shams who gave the order adjourned the matter to Thursday October 3rd, 2024 for hearing.
