The Non-Academic Staff Union of the Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) have directed its members to commence a one-day nationwide protest on Tuesday July 9, 2024.

This follows the recent breakdown of dialogue between the Ministers of Education and Labour, and the Joint Action Committee of the two bodies.

In a circular directed to to branch chairmen of the two Unions and made available to media in Abuja on Sunday July 7, the Unions said the protest will commence on Tuesday July 9, 2024 across the State Chapters of the Federation, and a national protest in Abuja on July 18.
