The National Youth Democratic Assembly, a youth organization, has enjoined Nigerian youths to participate in the forthcoming 2023 general elections and cast votes for credible and competent candidates. This call was made at the organization’s sensitization program held in IMO State on Wednesday 22nd of June, 2022.

Speaking at the event, the National President of NYDA, Comr. Henry Chinaemerem Nwaiwu said Nigeria as a country is in dire need of competent leaders to rescue the country from collapse while noting that youths are coastal of change.

“The country has gone so bad from the top to the bottom that things are not at ease. The masses have suffered greatly and are still suffering in this country. The pains are excruciating, the poverty rate is unimaginable and the hardship is untold. All these are the outcome of bad governance and leadership.

“That’s why we need to build hope and confidence in the minds of Nigerian youths who have lost faith in Nigeria to ensure a leadership that will enthrone an era of responsive and responsible governance in our country,” he said.

Nwaiwu pleaded with youths to avoid deceit by politicians and ensure good leadership takes power in 2023.

“This time, we must denounce tortoise tricks as a social destabilization. This nation belongs to all of us and we must take it back as the leaders of tomorrow and soldiers of the nation.”
