The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ Imo chapter has felicitated with the best graduating student of the prestigious Babcock University, Miss Amarachi Ezihe for the feat she accomplished in a highly competitive academic institution.
The Chairman, Imo NAWOJ, Dr. Mrs. Dorathy Nnaji, who extended her warm felicitations noted that Amarachi Ezihe had demonstrated great intellectual capacity, courage and discipline in the course of her academic pursuit which had paid off in her bagging a first class honours degree and emerging the over all best graduating student of a renowned private tertiary institution in the country.
Dr. Mrs Nnaji was ecstatic that Miss Ezihe had proved beyond doubt that the girl-child was in no way, inferior to the male child, and deserved to be empowered , not discriminated against by parents or the general society.
Describing Amarachi as a pride to womanhood, she enjoined other female students to borrow a leaf from Miss Ezihe, who incidentally hails from Ogwa in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state, and put in their best efforts in no their academic pursuit.
She congratulated the parents of the young lady, Mr. Everest Ezihe, Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, and Mrs Ruth Ezihe, for the wonderful upbringing and training and encouragement they gave their daughter to believe in herself and become the best she can be.
This prominent daughter of Imo state, Amarachi Priscilla Ezihe has placed Imo in the limelight for good reasons, as she bagged a first class degree award in Computer Science,and emerged the best graduating student of BABCOCK UNIVERSITY, Shagamu, Ogun State, with a Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate CGPA of 4.81.
She also bagged six other awards during the convocation ceremony held on Sunday, which included : Overall best graduating student of the university, Best graduating student of Faculty of Science, Best graduating student of Department of Computer Science, among others.
