The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Tor Uja, has urged Nigerian youths to be patriotic and take a stand for Nigeria in order to bring change and revival to the nation.
He stated this in Nazareth while addressing the Youths participating in the 2016 Youth and Family pilgrimage.
The NCPC boss stressed that the greatest strength of our country is the youth and as such encouraged them to rise to the clarion call of making Nigeria a great nation as instituted by God.
He intimated that the idea of youth pilgrimage was to include the youths in the pilgrimage programmes of the Commission in order to empower them in skills acquisition, especially in the area of agriculture and expose them to important Holy Sites that would positively transform their lives.
Rev. Uja explained that Israel is a blessed nation with many lessons Nigeria can learn from. According to him: “I want to see a changed Nigeria, a Nigeria that is working; and Israel is a place we can draw inspiration from”.
He encouraged the Youths not to depend on government to provide jobs but rather use their young minds to create great ideas especially in the area of agriculture so that in no time Nigeria would be able to produce enough food for its citizens and the international market.
