The Journalist, Adamu Aliyu Ngulde is a radio broadcaster working with Al-Ansar Tv and radio station in the state’s capital Maiduguri.

This reporter can confirm that Mr. Ngulde has received his termination of appointment letter on Wednesday.

He was sacked by the management of the station following a claim by Governor Zulum that the station is bias to his government.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

According to different sources, the governor claimed that a particular program on the radio in local language (Hausa), AREWA INA MAFITA, meaning: North, where is the way out? is attacking his government and not balancing its reports.

He noted that the program is deliberately providing people with a platform to attack his government.

While expressing his grievances on the radio station, the governor also gave a directive to close it down.

He gave the directives last week while hosting some media management officials in the state on a congratulatory visit following his reelection into office.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media from last week to date.

However, the station continued to operate even after the incident with sources alleging that the management of the station had tendered apology to the governor, hence reversing his action.

He added that he has received it in good faith and will not entertain any possible comeback even if they recall him.
