
Following the ongoing inauguration of Local Government Area chapter executives of the _Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative_ across the state, major political stakeholders in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) met with critical players and APC faithfuls recently to fine-tune strategies and outline plans for the inauguration of the newly selected executives and advisory councils of the group in the FCT.Recall that a fortnight ago, the political momentum in the build-up to 2027 elections took a new direction as the President General of the group, Engr. Uwem Okoko Fnse, floated the socio-political movement and announced the constitution of a 118-member international executive committee, with Dr. Tommy Etim Okon as Coordinator for Abuja.The meeting attracted participants from diverse backgrounds—academia, professional associations, business, clergy, and Governor’s appointees—signaling the emergence of a political structure aimed at strengthening participation and loyalty towards collective support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Senate President Godswill Akpabio GCON, and Governor Umo Eno PhD.
Dr. Tommy Etim Okon, the group’s Coordinator, stressed that the core mandate of the initiative is to galvanize support and structural mobilization for the re-election bids of Tinubu, Akpabio, and Eno. Discussing modalities for the upcoming inauguration of the FCT chapter, scheduled for next month, he emphasized collaboration and cooperation as key to achieving the group’s objectives.While commending ongoing reforms and leadership efforts at both federal and state levels, Dr. Tommy condemned criticisms from diaspora-based commentator Ms Mfon Umana over her recent remarks on the state governor’s real estate investment plans in the FCT, describing them as misinformation and lacking factual basis.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization, Abuja, Comrade Kingsley Iwok, who conducted a roll call of the newly appointed executives, described the initiative as a great opportunity built on confidence, demanding unwavering loyalty, dedication, and support for the political course leading to the 2027 elections.Speaking on behalf of the Elders and Advisers, Mkpisong Jackson Ndueso, Inemesit Uwah, and Barr. George Enyiekpon praised the SSA on Inter-Governmental Affairs, Raymond Abia, for the energy and value he has brought to his office within a short time, as well as the leadership shown by SAs on Mobilization, Kingsley Iwok, and Mmemaobong Ekukinan in advancing the ARISE Agenda in FCT. Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Governmental Affairs, Raymond Abia, described the initiative as a strategic political move to consolidate support for Tinubu, Akpabio, and Eno, while strengthening party dominance through to 2031.Abia disclosed plans to mobilize citizens for participation in the upcoming Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and for the transfer of PVCs to Akwa Ibom State.
