Umaru Yakubu Kirawa, News Central TV broadcaster and Northeast Correspondent, has congratulated Comrade Dauda Iliya over his appointment as spokesperson to Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.
He said that Mr. Iliya’s appointment is commendable considering his talent and contributions to the development of the state.
The Chairman, National Union of Journalists (NUJ) Borno State Chapter, Comrade Iliya was appointed on Friday by Governor Zulum as his spokesman and Special Adviser on media.
Kirawa added that Iliya’s new role is ‘a perfect match’ considering the leadership qualities he exhibited at NUJ.
”The new role is a perfect match for Dauda Iliya’s talent which he has exhibited during his sterling leadership at the helm of Nigerian Union of Journalists, Borno State Council.
”Dauda Iliya’s developmental strides speak volumes as he has transformed the meaning and concept of journalism practice through sincererity, solution-driven, and inclusivity.
”As journalist and member of the same chapel, the reknowned Correspondents’ Chapel wishes you success and fulfillment in your new responsibilities. We look forward to working together for the upliftment of all and sundry,” Kirawa said.
