From Princely Onyenwe
INEC has shocked alot of Nigerians by the release of their final list after thorough screening and validation. In the statistics, North-West leads followed by South-West while South-East is lowest followed by South-South.
The shock has continued to linger in the minds of the people particularly those affected zones with the least number of voters like the South East zone.
However Lagos, Kaduna and Kano are presently topping the lead leaving behind the entire South- South and South East zones in tight coners.
North-West and South- West top 93-Million voters out of the entire legible millions of NIGERIAN populace expected to partake in the registration process.
With this record the Popular candidate Peter Obi zone which is South is defeated while that of North and West represented by Atiku And Tinubu are at high advantage.
As a Political analyst and editor my findings are sure bet which involves the Political calculations. The permutation and combination here is that the three Heavyweights representing Labour, All Progressives Congress and People’s Democratic Party respectively have to shop in opposite zones to make up the winning.
The election is going to be interesting and dicey but the people have to go all out to collect their permanent voters cards and get ready for the battle.
Collection of Permanent Voters Cards PVCs is ongoing at various local government areas but regrettedly the speed of collection is not encouraging as 9News Nigeria reports.
Our reporters across local government areas have almost filled in same reports pointing out the low response of PVC collection.
People are not serious of the collection of Permanent Voters Cards PVCs while campaigning for their preferred candidates with just mere mouth.
With this statistics so far released by the election Umpire INEC , it entails that South East is the lowest while North West and South-West are on top.
A call in the right direction is for NIGERIAN electorates to move all out to their respective Council headquarters for collection. And also INEC officers are to move down to collation centers across the local government areas to give out the PVCs.
The 2023 long awaited General Election is by the corner. At least in less than two months all Elections will be over but the power to choose the next preferred leaders which is the parmanent voters cards are lying wasted across local government area Council headquarters for lack of collection.
Also 9News Nigeria reporters observed that majority of NIGERIAN electorates interviewed expressed anger against the hard times bedevilling the country and vowed not to vote any candidate in the upcoming election.
Majority are nursing fear of Insecurity and rigging of the election without firstly doing the needful to secure a PVC.
This is an erroneous application of participatory democracy where voters determine the actual winners through voting process. Going by the statistics released so far, it is not encouraging to better the Political state of the country. NIGERIANs must go out for the collection of PVCs in wait for the election 2023.
Keep reading us to get more details about the development in the electoral process and the election proper.
