Nigeria Police Declare One Okonkwo Tony Onyeka Wanted

The Police in Adamawa State has declared a 34 year old man, Okonkwo Onyeka Tony wanted over his involvement in the murder of one Mustafa Garuba.

In a statement released by the police public relations department,
the Commissioner of police appealed to members of the public to help in locating the whereabouts of the suspect as anyone with useful information that could leads to his arrest will be rewarded.

Eyewitness account have it that the incident occurred on 12 July 2014 at the Mubi Old Market Mosque when the suspect, Mr Okonkwo Onyeka Tony, a native of Ugbodu, Aniocha North Local government Area of ​​Delta State received a distress call of three Muslim youths who went to cut their hair in a barbing saloon shop belonging to his junior brother Felix Okonkwo, but became violent and refused to make payment after rendering them service, at first the situation was brought under control but was escalated after the three youths regroup and came with thier members in what many believe to be a coordinated attack because of their Christian faith.

It was further revealed that for long the Muslim youths have continued to threaten Mr Tony to vacate the shop insisting that the only people that could be allowed access must be from a Muslim background a situation which led them to carry out a coordinated attack on Mr.Okonkwo Tony Onyeka and family, killing the suspect brother Felix Okonkwo and her old aged mother who rushed to calm the situation at the spot, which angered Mr Tony Onyeka to retaliate leading to the death of one Mustafa Garuba a suspected hersmen that led the attack.
