(9News Nigeria) – A Nigerian man residing in China has sustained serious face injuries following explosion of his hand phone.
The report we gathered explained that the man was speaking on the phone while it was connected to the charger plugged to electricity.
The man’s identity was not released to 9News as at the time of this publication, but the report confirmed the victim to be a Nigerian living in China.
Following the explosion, neighbors were alerted by the incident and the victim was assisted to the nearby hospital where he is currently receiving treatments.
Recently, there have been news of some smart phones exploding thereby causing serious injuries often to the mouth, face or hand of the user. In some cases more serious injuries have been caused by such incidents.
There have been safety warnings regarding the use of smart phones while it is connected to the charger.
It will be recalled that Samsung has recalled thousands of Samsung Note 7 smart phones as a result of explosion incidents of the phone model.
Some airports and airlines have also banned passengers boarding or checking in baggage containing Samsung Note 7.
