

Authorities in Ogun State are Investigating the mysterious death of a Police Inspector Haruna Mohammed, whose body was discovered in hotel room in Akure, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The incident occurred at Super G Royal Hotel, situated at 11 Anthony Uzum Estate, Oyeyemi Akute.
Reports indicate that the Inspector checked into the hotel with an unidentified woman around 1.00am. Saturday February 15, 2025.
However by Sunday morning, he was found lifeless, while his female companion was nowhere to found lifeless, while his female companion was nowhere to be found.
According to the police report, the manager of the hotel, Deborah Adejobi, noticed around 8.52 am. that the room’s door was left open.
Upon checking inside, she discovered the officer’s lifeless body, and the woman who accompanied him was missing.
Hotel owner, Abiodun Olagunju reported the case to the police, revealing that the woman was last seen at the reception around 6:00am. when she requested a bottle of table water before vanishing.
The Police have classified Mohammed’s death as “sudden and unnatural” officers from the Ajuwon Division visited the scene, and transferred the his body to Channel Mortuary in Olamba for autopsy.
During the Investigation, police found Inspection Mohammed’s camouflage uniform in his bag, and a name tag identifying him.
Meanwhile, the Hotel manager has been taken in for questioning as law enforcement intensifies efforts to track down the missing woman.
The Ogun State Police Command has assured the public that Investigations are ongoing to unravel the circumstances that led to his mysterious death.
