Brighton & Hove Albion’s youngster Zadok Yohanna has been named among Top 100 nominees for the 2026 European Golden Boy Award.
The initial shortlist, released by Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport, the organisers of the prestigious annual accolade, features the best footballers under 21, with ranking based in their performances and achievements in the 2026 football year.
Zadok Yohanna, 19, recently completed a move to Premier League side from Swedish club AIK Stockholm, signing a five-year contract that will keep him at Amex Stadium until June 2031.
The Golden Boy Award has been nominated historically by players representing Spanish clubs, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, Sergio Aguero, Isco, Pedri, Gavi and Jude Bellingham among its past recipients.

Spain has produced four winners in total, the most of any nation, ahead of France with three, while Argentina, Brazil, England, The Netherlands and Portugal have each produced two winners across the award’s history.
The Nigerian forward, Yohanna, is ranked 80th in the inaugural list of 100 candidates, with the winner of the 2026 European Golden Boy Award set to be announced in November.
A massive milestone for the rising star and another proud moment for Nigerian football.
