Nigerians have cried out over high cost of living in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking with 9News Nigeria correspondent, some residents of Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital described Tinubu’s economic policies as harsh which are geared towards suffering the poor masses.
According to Maazi Njoku Obinna, even with the removal of subsidy, President Tinubu is yet to proclaim new Minimum wage.
“How can you remove the fuel subsidy which the poor masses were benefiting from but refused to introduce the new Minimum Wage?”.
“Soon, his government will clock one year but you can see how the masses are suffering. There is inflation, prices of goods have gone up, there is no fuel to even buy,” he said.
Another resident, Mr John Nwaze said Tinubu’s government has shown that APC is hell bent on suffering the masses.
According to him,” you can see since APC took over, things have not been the same in Nigeria. Dollar which they met at 400 Naira is now 1500 Naira and some people are clapping for them”.
“It a shame because they have failed this country. Nigerians are really suffering. Currently, there is fuel scarcity, inflation everywhere. In fact, many Nigerians cannot afford three square in a day”, he said.
