Nigerians have reacted over the recent moves of the president to act quickily to disband SARS inline with the series of compliants by citizens on rascality, abuses and misconducts that had beclouded its officers.
In the opposite reaction, a rhetoric question “how possible could security be improved by the Nigerian police to save the lives of citizens pose a challenge to the IGP and the government.
On a chat with the press, Minister of police affairs Mohammad Maigari Dingyadi has urged Nigerians to see the disbandment of SARS, as government’s commitment to deepening relationship between Nigerians and the police, for better service delivery. In his words “Let’s continue to work together to secure our communities.
He however stated that the fault lines in police operations are being address, to emplace, technologically driven operations devoid of personal contact, except when it becomes necessary. This will lock up opportunity for systemic abuse by few deviant policemen.
Minister Maigari assured the additional measures put in place by the IGP is reassuring. To this end, Police X Squad, Force Provost Marshall and Monitoring Unit have been mobilised across the country to ensure total compliance with professional ethics.

NHRC has commended the Federal Government for promptly dissolving SARS, an action it said showed the qualify of a listening government.
There is no doubt, Nigerians are happy and have trust of the judgement and they are looking forward for the betterment of Nigerian Police.
