Senator Abdul Ningi( Bauchi Central), on Monday clarified that he was thoroughly misrepresented and was taken aback by the twist of events, after the interview he gave to the BBC Hausa Service.
In the interview, widely reported, Ningi claimed accused President Bola Tinubu of operating two versions of the 2024 budget.
Speaking with the pressmen in an interview earlier today, Ningi claimed, he didn’t say so.
Mr Ningi also said he was not representing the Northern Senators Forum as reported, but spoke in his personal capacity.
His word “With the press release I saw today in the media yesterday, I am taken aback.
“At no time did I say Bola Tinubu is implementing two budgets. There was no time. At no time did I say Bola Tinubu was biased against the north.
“At no time did I say Bola Tinubu is implementing N25 trillion budget. There is no way I will talk about N25 trillion and N28 trillion,’’ he said.
