Following the successful operation by the Nigerian security agencies, the nation’s Attorney General, Malami gave indications on the extradition of IPOB self acclaimed leader Nnamdi Kanu in a press statement in Abuja.
Consequently, Kanu was arraigned on Tuesday June 28, before Justice Binta Nyako at the federal High Court Abuja. The mater has been adjourned for continuation of trial. Kanu remains in custody of department of state security (DSS) according to the Judge orders.
Reacting to the developments in a joint press statement, the College of Bishops and Clergy Councils said ” Nnamdi Kanus’ Re-arrest is the best thing that has happened to the body of Christ, in recent times, particularly the brethren in the South East” We have been praying for God to give directions to the government to handle the matter in the best way, and God answered Nigerians” Bishop Abel King maintained.
” As religious leaders who are in touch with the masses, we must state that the mood of the nation shows appreciation to Mr President. Nigerians have pledged moral support to the security agencies, particularly the department of state security service” the group maintained.
The department of state security(DSS) in whose custody the IPOB leader is, has maintained the highest level of professionalism and urged to continue in that regard.
The group further cautioned inflammatory sentiments that will abuse the minds of nigerians
“Our security agencies in all fairness have acted in the best interest of the country,, we hope God answered Nigerians prayer so peace can return nigeria particularly the people of the South East.
