Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Garba Abari, has urged Nigerians to pray for the quick recovery of the president.

Aside supplication for Buhari’s speedy recovery and return to the country, Abari further urged Nigerians to pray for the peace of the nation and God’ guidance for  the leaders and also, charged them to imbibe virtues of selflessness, sacrifice and good neighbourliness towards all.

In his Eid-el Fitri message to Muslims, to mark the end of the month of Ramadan, Abari stressed that the lessons of the holy month, if adhered to, will ensure peaceful coexistence and national development in Nigeria.

A statement by Head of Press Unit, Paul Odenyi, quoted Abari as saying that “Eid-el Fitri is an opportunity to demonstrate and entrench the virtues of patience, self-control, and sobriety taught by Ramadan, pointing out that “Ramadan is a month-long religious obligation with far longer social and national benefits”.

He said Nigerians, more than ever before, need to show tolerance, love and affection toward others as Eid-el Fitri demanded.
