Veteran Nollywood Actor, Charles Izuchukwu Okafor is celebrating his birthday today in grandstyle.
The veteran Nollywood Actor who turned 53 today is celebrating the birthday with his family and friends, 9NEWS Nigeria has learnt.
Charles Okafor is a Nollywood veteran and one of the most popular actors in the African movie industry.
He has been in the Nigerian movie industry for over two decades and has played lead roles in over 100 movies and featured in over 200 movies.
Charles Izuchukwu Okafor was born on 23rd July 1970 in Umuatuolu Village of Ivite Umueri in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State in the south-eastern part of Nigeria.
Charles Okafor has received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards as the Best Male Actor in Nigeria and Best Lead Actor in Nigeria. He is considered as one of the best box office grossing actor. Charles Okafor is also considered as one of the most sought after actor in Nigeria and also one of the best performing actors in Nigeria.
In 2011, Charles Okafor was honoured by the Nigerian Federal Government as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) which happens to be the highest honour and an award given to a celebrity in Nigeria who has contributed immensely to the economic growth and development of the country through entertainment.
