NSUK student killed by gunmen in foiled robbery attempt in Nasarawa

A 300- level student of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Mustapha Osama has been reportedly killed in a foiled armed robbery attempt in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.

According to sources, the incident occurred on Friday night at about 8pm along Gudi Akwanga Road in Nasarawa State.

Mr Osama who has been buried in Doma on Saturday morning according to Islamic rites was said to have been hit by a bullet shot by gunmen.

A family source who confirmed the incident, said that the deceased was driving when the bullet hit him.

The robbery operation was however, foiled by operatives of the Nigeria Police who “responded immediately to a distress call”, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ramhan Nansel, said.
