It is quite unfortunate that the Honourable member representing the constituency has refused to address issues bothering on the allegetions of incessant killings in his community not to talk of other areas which he is directly accused of involvement.
Some constituents in Ohaji / Egbema state constituency in Imo State House of Assembly represented by Hon. Helcus Okoro have bemoaned on his alleged reluctant to look into the continuous killing in the constituency.
Speaking recently to the Press at Owerri, Mr Sunday Omah said that they are very worried on the attitude of Hon. Helcus Okoro who is only interested on his return to the State Assembly whereas the constituency is on fire, and also that his name is been mentioned in the petitions before the Nigeria Police Force, as one of the big masquerades behind the scene of the 7th February 2022, Mmahu Autonomous Community killings, that murder Ezinna Charles Mgbaraho who is the President General, Mr Cosmas (chasity) Nwachukwu as the Secretary, Chinedu Anene as the Public Relations Officer who are government appointees in community government council, including their supporters Edeme Okoro, Issac Ojenya, Ndubuisi Okereke and one Ifeyirinwoke Junior, of which matter is situated in High Court.
Mr Omah stated that since the killings in Ohaji / Egbema, especially that of Mmahu Autonomous Community being the hometown of Hon Okoro, he has not found time to visit the families of victims and not to talk of finding ways to make peace at home generally.

In the same vein, a woman leader from Ohaji political bloc, Mrs Odika Ijeoma on her voice said that it is pertient that the Ohaji / Egbema saw gruesome killings the period Hon. Helcus Okoro became member of the State Assembly.
Mrs Odika explained that the issue didn’t just end at that, but with a breeding pains, when Hon. Okoro showned a die heart by allowing the situation to escalate.
She further described the Mmahu Autonomous community killings as high of responsibleness of the political leaders in the localities, of which has reduced the popularity of Hon. Okoro.
Also, a Youth Leader, Comrader Ebere Ekere added that it is good democracy that gives room for the video people to make their choice of leader, and they have seen all in Hon. Helcus Okoro in the past four years, now is their turn to pay him back based on his performance.
