Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to take a dignified stand by replying the letter by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Okorocha said remaining silent after the letter would amount to acquiescence.
Obasanjo had written a widely circulated letter in which he asked the president not to run for second term in 2019.
But speaking to newsmen in Owerri yesterday, the governor said answering the letter personally would put to rest all doubts and acrimonies it had attracted.
He noted that the letter was written at a high level, which equally required a high level answer, adding that the president’s response would enable those interested in the number one seat to take decision.
Okorocha reiterated his position that he would not run if the president decides to have another shot.
