The Orashi People Sustainable Progress Forum (OPSPF) has officially inaugurated its National Leadership, marking a significant step in strengthening coordination and unity among communities within the Orashi region.
The inauguration ceremony, held at Abacheke in Egbema West, Imo State, brought together key stakeholders, community leaders, and members of the forum who reaffirmed their commitment to collective progress and regional cooperation.
Speaking during the event, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Comrade G. Nwodu, described the inauguration as a new chapter for the forum, emphasizing that the leadership structure would serve as a driving force for development-oriented initiatives across the region.
He noted that OPSPF was established to provide a common platform for the people of the Orashi axis to unite, share ideas, and pursue common interests that will improve the welfare of the communities.
Nwodu urged members of the newly inaugurated leadership to remain focused, transparent, and committed to the vision of the forum, stressing that effective leadership is essential for achieving meaningful progress.
He also called on stakeholders to support the leadership in fostering peace, cooperation, and inclusive participation among the people.
Addressing the gathering, the National President of OPSPF, Sampson Chukas, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in the new executives, assuring members that the leadership would work diligently to justify the trust placed in them.
Chukas outlined key priorities of the forum to include promoting unity, encouraging youth empowerment, and engaging relevant institutions on issues affecting the region.
He emphasized the need for continuous dialogue and collaboration among communities, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through collective effort.
The OPSPF President also encouraged young people in the region to embrace education and vocational skills, stating that such empowerment is vital for personal growth and community advancement.
The inauguration featured the formal presentation and swearing-in of executive members, who pledged to uphold the objectives of the forum and work towards strengthening its impact at both grassroots and national levels.
Community representatives at the event expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated leadership would bring renewed energy and direction to the forum’s activities.
The ceremony concluded with a call for sustained unity and active participation, as members resolved to work together in advancing the goals of the Orashi People Sustainable Progress Forum.
