The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced a massive turnout, with more than 1.3 million Nigerians signing up for Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) within just one week.
According to the latest figures released by the Commission, states across the federation recorded impressive participation, with Lagos, Osun, and Ogun leading in numbers.
Other states such as Kaduna, Oyo, Kogi, and Kebbi also witnessed high engagement, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) saw one of the largest concentrations of new registrants.
INEC noted that the overwhelming response reflects a growing enthusiasm among Nigerians to take part in the democratic process ahead of the next general elections.
The Commission also reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent voter registration process.
