At least 30 people are feared to have lost their lives in a devastating road accident at Kwanar Barde in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The crash reportedly involved a trailer heading towards Gujungu, which lost control due to reckless driving and ploughed into other road users, leaving dozens dead and several others badly injured.

Reacting to the incident, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, through his spokesman, Sunusi Bature Tofa, expressed profound grief, describing the tragedy as a major blow to the affected families and the state at large.

The governor offered prayers for the departed and urged God to comfort their relatives in this moment of deep sorrow.

He also extend his sympathies to the injured victims, praying for their swift recovery, and directed that all survivors should receive free medical care while emergency health and humanitarian teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
