Owerri West Local Government Chairman of Labour Party LP, Mr Ifeanyi Oparanozie has been relieved of his official duty with immediate effect.
His sack came as a result of detailed check on his conduct by his Okuku Ward-3 Labour Party Executives.
Followed by a suspension letter signed by Tobechukwu Njemanze, Chairman of Labour Party ward-3, Okuku Owerri West, Ifeanyi Oparanozie was alleged of indulgence in anti- party activities with the rulling All Progressives Congress APC party.
The LGA Labour Party Boss, Ifeanyi was alleged to have collected the sum of Five hundred thousand Naira and One hundred and fifty thousand Naira simultaneously from the rulling APC party during the last Elections.
The said Monies were given to him for his personal use and that of the entire Okuku Ward-3 members for election largesse that led to his sack. “He rubbed labour Party at the last Elections, the party leadership maintained.
Our correspodent gathered that Ifeanyi Oparanozie sack was endorsed by Sixty Eight (68) signatories of Party members from his ward including the Ten (10) ward chairmen of Labour Party Owerri West.
Meanwhile, the sack of Oparanozie gained more grounds and support by a resolution of Labour Party held in an undisclosed Hotel in Owerri that comprised of the expanded executives, ward chairmen, Youth leaders, women leaders, ward secretaries and the LGA executives.
In furtherance, the party leadership has nominated Chief Ugochukwu Duru as the Acting Chairman, Chinenye Oparaugo and Polycap Okeduko to act as woman leader and Youth leader respectively.
LP has warned the public to disassociate with former Owerri West party Boss, Ifeanyi Oparanozie and to strictly desist from doing any business concerning Labour Party Owerri West with him since Chief Ugochukwu Duru has resumed duty with immediate effect.

The Press release was duly signed by Messer’s Victor Ekeocha, Livinus Ozoemena, Tobechukwu Njemanze, Kingsley Enyiaka, Godwin Okoroma, Eric Eru, Justice Eke, Godwin Nwaneri, Williams Ohiri and Obinna Nzimako.
