The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State, Senator MAGNUS ABE, has accused the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in the state, DESMOND AKAWOR, of sending hired thugs to attack him and his supporters in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state.
Some suspected hired thugs had earlier today invaded the venue of a meeting of SDP in Oyigbo, and destroyed properties before blocking the boundary between Tai and Oyigbo Local Government Areas preventing ABE and his entourage from accessing the area.
Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, Senator MAGNUS ABE narrated how armed youths allegedly led by the Personal Assistant to the State Chairman of PDP, blocked the road, and stopped him and his team from going into Oyigbo for a scheduled political meeting.
