The People Democratic Party – PDP Akwa Ibom State Chapter has suspended its member for celebrating the multiple demise of it members in the State, whose deaths are said to be from complicated cases of COVID-19.
Akwa Ibom State has been thrown into mourning almost on weekly basis. Hitherto the party has registered over four questionable deaths, two of which are the deaths of the Director General of the incumbent Governor campaign Organization, Late Air Commodore Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga and the recent lost of the State Party Chairman Hon. Udo Ekpenyong which had lowered the tempo of the ever happy people of the State.
Engr. Joseph B. Effiong a Ward Leader in his Central Uruan unit of the party took to a viral WhatsApp platform in his area and posted an article appearing to be a celebration of the demise of the lost souls.
Hence the party wrote to various stakeholders in the chapter to notify them of the suspension of Engr Joseph B. Effiong
