Peter Obi meets Quadri Yusuf after his release from detention (Photos)

The Labour Party presidential candidate in 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, on Friday April 18, visited Quadri Yusuf Alabi, the young boy who went viral during the election after a photo of himself standing in front of Obi’s convoy surfaced online.

In January this year, the 17-year-old was accused of robbery and arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court in Apapa.

The police obtain an order remanding him at the Medium Security Custodian Centre, Kirikiri.

His case made it to social media last week, and they was a public outcry for his release.

Following the intervention of human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, he was release on Thursday April 17.

According to Effiong, Obi offered to assist Quadri in acquiring the necessary training and educational desires.
