Petrol prices in Nigeria have surged to N1,050-N1,150 per litre, following a price hike by Dangote Petroleum Refinery and depot owners.
The increase is attributed to rising global crude oil costs.
The price adjustment, which took effect on Friday January 17, 2025, has seen marketers and retailers adjusting their prices accordingly.
Some private depots have raised their loading prices to N970 in Lagos and N1,000 in Calabar.
The development is expected to impact consumers, with retail prices potentially climbing higher in the coming days.
