Information reaching 9News Nigeria has revealed the weight of lose recorded from pipeline vandalization and oil theft.

Oil theft business is reported to have been in existence for a longtime and nothing was done to checkmate or forestall such crime.

Our source told 9News that he is one of those that does not believe that Government alone brought us to this level decay.

He went further stating that Nigerians, including the security agencies, the citizens, leaders and even foreigners alike all have a share in what is happening to us

However blames have gone to the oil sector for such a loose guarded means of allowing oil criminals to run down Nigeria’s economy.

It is therefore the believe of the people that security agencies protecting the pipelines would have known that crude oil is been diverted on a daily basis.

Nigeria loses almost 500B weekly to oil theft and this ofcourse is damned much for a country with poor managerial leaders.

If we must get Nigeria going, it has to be a collective responsibility of both the government and the people.

Meanwhile reactions and solutions are needed to profering solution to stop such theft.

An anonymous stated that our observation is a validation that none state actors are now more powerful than the government.

He added that if that is what our investigation reveales, then it is a leadership failure. The State must always be seen as above all, welding its mighty hands-on defaulters.

In his words, “I refuse to align with the thought that the people are behind this. Of course, it’s expected that there are going to be rebels, the reason government is in place.

Government is a continuation of the past, (the good and the bad). The people expect same Government to provide immediate solutions and not to apportion blame”

While thanking God that the country is about about to recruit the next set of leaders, the CEO of Nigeria, the system is expected to purge itself of partisan considerations and take a deep breath for a more credible alternative to improve our land, the anonymous expert stated.

We have the law court because we believe there could be a breakdown of the law. We have hospitals because it’s expected that sickness will come. We have security agencies because we equally feel that rebels and none State actors will undermine the powers of the State.

But then, we have government to coordinate all of them. We have government to provide direction and quality striking leadership examples. Does this mean anything to us?

The government must be seen at all times as the overseer of all including Rebels. They must take action and never blame anyone for their weaknesses. The people in your context are the government but then the same people are bandits, BH, miscreants, militants and thieves.

You see why the government must rise to the occasion of providing direction, protection and discipline against erring citizens. This is how it’s done.

May we elect such a person that will decisively provide a quality striking leadership example. We are advocating for a stop to oil theft and pipeline vandalization. The government is saddled with such enormous task to secure our land and the people are crying.
