The Plateau State House of Assembly has commenced the review process to repeal the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, PLASIEC, Law of 2016.

This initiative aims to provide an updated institutional and legal framework for the conduct of elections in the state.

Additionally, the Assembly is considering the enactment of a law to establish the Plateau State Blood Service Commission 2024.

Both bills passed the second reading during yesterday’s plenary session, after majority of the lawmakers voted in support of the bill when the Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, subjected it to voice vote.
