The Plateau State Government (PLSG) has inaugurated a committee to review streamline academic programmes of all the state’s tertiary institutions.

Governor Mutfwang, who at the Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos inaugurated the nine member committee, chaired by Professor William Barnabas Qurix, urged them to bring out the best and promised to support them in all their undertakings.
Mutfwang explained, “We found it necessary to do this because we think that we need to look at the future of education and also look at the education of the future. Where we need to be in the years to come, and this periodic review has become very critical and necessary”.
He explained readiness to engaged resource persons across the nation and thanked Professor Qurix, a veteran University administrator and former Vice -Chancellor of Bingham University and Kaduna State University respectively, for accepting to lead the Committee.
Governor Mutfwang further urged members to utilize diverse experiences provide insights repositioning the educational sector in the State, emphasizing importance of wide consultations and reputable recommendations to reforms the institutions effectively.
The Commissioner, Higher Education, Mrs Kachollom Gang, while giving overview, said the Mutfwang administratiion had taken deliberate steps to revitalize the educational sector with a view to producing competent manpower.
She promised to accord members of the Committee all the needed support for success.
Professor William Barnabas Qurix, Chairman of the Committee, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity to serve and pledged members towards fostering a robust and conducive educational environment.
