After attending her send-forth, groom- to- be cancelled their wedding in Jos on the D-day.
A Nigerian man on Saturday called off his wedding on the scheduled day in Plateau State. The ceremony, was set for Saturday, December 16, 2023, in Ganawuri, Riyom Local Government Area.
The groom allegedly learnt that the bride-to-be had slept with her ex- boyfriend a few days before the event.
The groom’s family informed the bride’s family of the decision just as she was about to start getting set for big day.
A source who confirmed to 9News Nigeria expressed emotional reaction, revealing the abrupt and painful end to what was supposed to be a joyous occasion and once in a lifetime celebration turned to be a disaster for both parties.
Also, due to the shocked, the groom has been flown out of the state to get medical attention, as many continue to fault his decision.
Açcording to unconfirmed reports, the bride’s ex+boyfriend told the groom that he slept with her on the D-Day of her send-forth prayer (Plateau cultural event held for brides days before wedding).
The bride”s make-up artist, Linda Gagara, who confirmed the incident on Saturday morning, said she was about to start costuming the bride when the groom’s family showed up to tell her that the wedding has been suspended till further notice.
Linda said the bride personally called the groom on his phone to hear from him directly as he told her that he was no longer interested in going ahead with wedding..
“I really saw something today as the Make-up artist of the bride-to-be. Since yesterday night that I was with her (bride) and family till this morning when it was called off.
“Wedding that supposed to happen at a dime minute when I was about to start up Make-up, ended up just like the that. So you mean even on the D-day of your wedding, your guy or whosoever can just wake-up and decide “Ya kare”!!!! (Imeaning it’s fnished) Oh Lord.
“No matter what manner, I cried… like a baby on transit when returning home this morning, from Kagoro, Ganawuri to Jos. I crried silently for no one notice. I was imagining the pains….how the Gal feels Hmmm… on Her supposed day of happiness.On dime minute. Just time that I was to start up her make up to the Church. Oh Lord,. I’ve never seen a thing like this before. Allah ya Isa!!! (meaning may God revenge for her) Ladies go through lot
