Plateau: Tragedy Strikes Irigwe Community Again As Ambush Claims Two Lives

In another shocking attack, Fulani militias today ambushed three members of the Irigwe community, resulting in the instant deaths of two prominent community members, Adamu Bala, 38, and Gado Trra, 45.

A third individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, survived the attack but sustained severed bullet-injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the unnamed medical facility.

The ambushed also left a military personnel wounded. The attack didn’t stop at human casualties alone as over 20 farms were destroyed.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Irigwe Youth Movement, Joseph Chudu Yonkpa revealed this development in a statement on Wednesday April 2 3, 2025 sighted by 9News Nigeria correspondent in Jos.

“This morning three of our people were ambushed by the Fulani militias.

Two died instantly, and one survived with bullet injuries and is currently in an undisclosed hospital.

“Those killed are:

1. Adamu Bala, 38 years

2. Gada Trra, 45 years.

Additionally, a military personnel sustained bullet injuries during the ambush. Over 20 farms were destroyed”.
