In a sad event, a horrifying incident has come to light in the Bukuru Gyel community of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
On Monday, 23rd October 2023, two underage t£enagers, aged between 15 and 17, reportedly k!snapped a 5-year-old child who was known to be their closest neighbor.
The situation took a devastating turn as they demanded an exorbitant ransom for the child to be release.
An anonymous resident of the area who spoke to 9News Nigeria, said the boys are said to have taken the child when he was alone in the house and subsequently reached out to the family with a chilling ransom demand of N5 million.
In desperation, the family managed to raise N1.6 million, hoping to secure the safe return of their beloved child.
Unknowingly, the outcome was devastating, unexpected and unbelievable as they received the child’s lifeless body, with allegedly missing parts. The reason for this brutality and inhumanity was stated as,”They k!lied him because he had seen our faces” The apprehension of these two underage suspects, who committed this act, raised many questions among residents of the area, about how they were brought to justice.
Although details remain sketchy, it is rumored that the k!dnappers provided an account details for the payment of the ransom, which ultimately led the police to trace their hideouts and apprehended them.
The suspected underage t£enagers have since been arrested and are currently in the custody of the police as investigation continues to unravel the deeply devastating and distressing incident.
