In a highly contested election held on Wednesday September 25, 2024, Pannan Gongden Dapar secured an overwhelming win to become the Chairman of the Plateau Youth Council, PYC, with a decisive 99 votes.
The election, which drew significant attention from youth leaders across Plateau State, saw Dapar outpace his closest rivals, Walshak Kumwen , who garnered 6 votes, and Mapis Warewest with 5 votes.
Other contenders Dalong and Maren Aaron got just 1 and 0 votes respectively.
