The Police, on Tuesday, arraigned a 31-year-old Kola Adeoye, 31, before a Mapo Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing a woman’s phone valued at N197,000
Adeoye, whose address was not provided, was charged with stealing.
He pleaded not guilty, when the charge was read to him.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Seye Akinola, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on July 24, at about 9.00 a.m at Idi-Arere, Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendant entered into the room of one Mrs Fathia Wasiu and stole her phone worth N197,000.
He said the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. O. Latunji, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case to Aug. 27 for hearing.
