Police arrest 31 suspects for armed robbery, kidnapping, others in Nasarawa

Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police have arrested thirty-one suspects over involvement in armed robbery, kidnapping and other crimes in the State.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, disclosed this while parading the suspects on Tuesday in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The suspects include: 13 for armed robbery, 11 for kidnapping, 6 for arms dealing and one suspect arrested for culpable homicide.

Items recovered from the suspects as exhibits include five arms and ammunition, motorcycles, vehicles, ninety six bags of rice, laptops, television, phones, wrappers, and magazine.

The Commissioner of Police vowed that the “Command under his leadership will not relent but fiercely clampdown in criminals until they are subjugated”.

“We appealed to the good people of Nasarawa State to count on us and avail us of credible information that will help to reduce crime to its barest minimum in the State”, Nadada added.
