The Anambra State Police Command has on October 6, arrested one Ejike Kanu ‘m’ aged 33years for allegedly defiling a 7years old girl in his wife’s shop.
9newsng.com gathered that the suspect is a native of Elugwu mkporo in Ohafia LGA of Abia State, but resides at Umuobom street Okpoko, Anambra State.
In a statement made by S.P Haruna Mohammed, the Anambra State Public Relations Officer, suspect volunteered his confessional statement to the Police and attributed the evil act to be the work of the devil.
Police detectives visited the scene and took the victim to the hospital for medical Examinations where penetration was confirmed by the medical doctor.
Case has been transferred to the State criminal investigation department (SCID) for discreet investigation after which suspect will be charged to court for prosecution, he added.
