Police Arrests 32-Year -Old Suspected Thief, Recover Two Vehicles

The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old man , Gabriel Okpe, for alleged stealing from residents of Karu local government area of the state.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Lafia on Thursday, The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Ramhan Nansel said the suspect was arrested on Tuesday March 28 in Jikwoyi, FCT.

“On 27/03/23 at about 12.30pm, a complaint was lodge at Karshi Division that, an apartment at Modupe Olusola, street, Palaladna, Karshi Development Area of Karu, Local Government Area was burgled and household items including a 2010 model Toyota Matrix vehicle were carted away by unknown persons.

“Upon the receipt of the report, a discreet and diligent investigation was launched into the case. The effort of the police operatives paid off on 28/03/23 when the principal suspect, Gabriel Okpe, ‘M” 32 years was trailed and arrested at Jikwoyi, Abuja.

The following items were recovered as exhibit, Toyota Matrix with registration number ABC 277 FV Abuja, Honda Accord with registration number LV 699 EKY Lagos, Two Plasma Television sets, one Elepaq generator, a standing fan, laptop, microwave, Gas cylinder and burner, two IPads, a Samsung Smart phone and other items”, the statement reads.

Nansel said the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba, had ordered that the suspect should be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigations.
