Police arrests 33 suspects for kidnapping, cattle rustling, impersonation and other crimes in Nasarawa

Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested thirty-three suspects in the State for commiting various crimes.

The state’s Police Commissioner, CP Shehu Umar Nadada made this known on Thursday, May, 9, 2024 while parading the suspects at the Police Headquarters in Lafia.

According to Nadada, 13 suspects were arrested for kidnapping and 11 for armed robbery.

The arrest, he said was a significant achievements recorded by the Command in its relentless fight against crime in Nasarawa State.

Nadada disclosed that the remaining suspects were arrested for cattle rustling, rape and impersonation.

The items recovered from the suspects include 2 vehicles, one arms and the sum of N1, 330,000.00.

“The fight against criminal is continuous, It is in this light that the Police Command expresses its gratitude to members of the public for their support and collaboration, and I urge all to continue in order for us to guarantee a safer and secure Nasarawa State”, he added.
